A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 5/32 inches (2.94 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Argent, an augmented pale Or fimbriated Gules charged with a prickly pear cactus and the shoulder sleeve insignia of the 34th Division both Proper (Green cactus-Black olla charged with a Red bull skull). Attached below the shield a Gold scroll inscribed "REDOUTABLE ET FOUGUEUX” in Red.
